Happy Halloween!!!

I LOVE Halloween! I've not been great about it this year. I've made lots of cards, but I don't have a costume or anything. It's still fun, though! Our apartment complex actually put treat bags on each of our doors in the middle of the night! SO FUN!!! Well, today is also Wednesday, so that means that it's time for a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog!

Our challenge for this week is SHAPE IT UP! Yup! We have some super fun shaped cards to share with you today! I, of course, had to do one for Halloween!

Happy Halloween Ghost Shaped Card

I pulled out some fun stuff for this one! I made the ghost itself from Neenah cardstock. The eyes are adorable brads from Eyelet Outlet. I used some fun stamps from Lawn Fawn, too!

Ghost Shaped Card

And of course, Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky challenge participant a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore!

So, let's do this!!! Create a fun shaped card and link it up! You could win, for goodness sake!

I hope you have a super fabulous Halloween!!!!

You can find the links for the items I've used in this card below! Happy Shopping and Happy Halloween!

It's time for a Brand New Tami Mayberry Release for Gina K. Designs!

And I'm officially in love.  Can you be in love with a fabulous winter stamp set?  'Cause I'm totally in love with this fabulous winter stamp set.  Just sayin'.  The Tami Mayberry Team is joining forces with the Gina K. Team today to inspire YOU with this gorgeous set called Simple Snowflake!

I chose a soft color palette to show off the gorgeous snowflake sentiment stamp in this set!

Winter Wishes

I punched the circles and adhered them somewhat randomly and then stamped the sentiment image directly on the card. A bit of twine made the perfect finishing accent!

AND...for those interested in an update...we have made it through the worst of Sandy quite well. We still have power, although, last I heard my parents are out, as are several other people we know. My sister had also lost power and I'm not sure if she has it back yet this morning. Power has already been restored in some areas, while I believe others will likely be waiting a few days. We will see how it goes. We were fortunate to not lose ours, as many in our town did. There is quite a bit of small debris around, but, again, nothing as dangerous as it could have been, so that is all good. We are thankful.

Just SPOOKY!

Well, it's almost here, but I've still got a couple more Halloween cards to share with you before Wednesday!  YAY!!!  Today it's all about the awesome Happy Hexagons set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps!  I love how I was able to create a cool black and white background with these fun shaped stamps!

Spooky!

I tiled the stamps in the background, leaving space between them as I went.  The cool Portrait embellishment is Jolee's and the stickers are from Making Memories.  They all came together to make a spooky, yet playful Halloween card!

We, unfortunately, do not have any big plans for Halloween, and, at the moment, are curious to see what Hurricane Sandy brings our way before we get that far, anyway!  I hope you all have a wonderful day and if you happen to be in Sandy's path, stay safe!

Muted Tones

There is a new challenge up over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps. We are playing with color! When I saw this palette it had a muted feel to me and so I latched onto that when creating my card. Here is the palette...

And here is the card I have created based on these hues...

May The spirit of Christmas...

I used several Tsukineko VersaMagic inks. I love how they have the soft look to them! The background paper is Fancy Pants Designs and I used the Gourmet Rubber Stamps Circles of Christmas set for the stamps.

Well, that amazing flair came from the amazing Bossy Joscie shop! AND...I have some GREAT NEWS! Joscie is giving a $15 Gift Code to one lucky Just Jingle Reader! Check out some of the amazing flair she has in her shop!

I may or may not be slightly biased toward that first set I posted. Not sure why. Just sayin'. HAHAHA! And this isn't all, by ANY MEANS! She has SO MANY amazing styles to choose from and she is constantly adding fun new designs to the mix, too! It's FABULOUS!!!  I am more than just a little addicted.  Just sayin'.

Hope Happens

AND...not only does it help people out, but it is super adorable, to boot! Chris would have been TOTALLY on board with that one! YAY! (For those who don't know, Chris was also the amazing artist who created the elements in my blog banner and blog button. She and her husband are responsible for that gnome cuteness up there!)
