It's Craft Dash Time!

Yup! I have another 10 Minute Craft Dash card and video for you today. It's really rather tricky creating a card in ten minutes, but I think in time, I just may get good at this! HA! This was the color palette this time around:

Kind of pretty! I decided to add a neutral white base to the scheme this time and I'm glad I did. It worked well for me. Here is the card that I came up with.

For A Special Day

Yes. I heat embossed AND fussy cut in a 10 minute craft dash. I'm crazy, yes, but I DID IT! HA! LOL! I was pretty happy about that. Not gonna lie. HA! I used Simon Says Stamp Flower Friends set for the leaves (stamped directly on the card base) and the flower and the sentiment are from the Simon Says Like Your Style set.

Special Day (detail)

And, of course, here is the video to prove it was done in ten minutes...and to see the process... and so you can laugh at us. HA! It was just Jen and me this time, so slightly less chaotic with only two people. Although, I mumbled a lot... sorry about that. LOL! OH...and Jen's look is pretty awesome. Just sayin'.

So. There's that. I hope you have a super fabulous and totally awesome Easter Weekend!

Have a Happy!!!

HOPPY Easter with CAS-ual Fridays!

Happy Easter weekend, folks!  We don't have huge plans, just getting together for dinner at my parents, but that's just the way I like it!  Nice and easy and time with happy people I love!  We are celebrating just a bit with our CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week!

Yup!  It's a Funny Bunny Challenge!  With Easter and April Fools Day falling back to back, the Easter Bunny will no doubt be extra tricky. So...show us your CAS Easter projects BUT we're throwing in a tricky twist...it CAN'T be a card.

Our sponsor this week is Timeless Twine!  They are giving our winner a fun twine package! Woot!  Woot!

Now for my creation!!! I hemmed and hawed over what to create... treat box - couldn't do it... it was clear and I ate all the jelly beans that I was gonna use for the photograph... candy wrapper... well.. after the jelly bean incident, I decided I shouldn't go near a candy bar, either... bookmark... hmmm....giant bunny mask reminiscent of Donnie Darko?....probably not the best plan...hmmm... maybe.... TAG! I like creating fun tags, so I decided to create a tag!

Hoppy Easter Tag

So. There you have it! I pulled out one of my favorite stamps from Unity and created a super cute Easter tag! I love that bunny! I really really really do! Just sayin'.

Hoppy Easter Tag (detail)

So head on over to CAS-usal Fridays for LOTS of super cute inspiration and then make something CAS and FABULOUS! I can't WAIT to see it!

Under the Weather?

Not me. I'm fine. I'm a bit sick of the weather, but that's a whole other story. HA! This adorable little Paper Smooches walrus, however, he is a bit under the weather!

This was my final card to go up on the Paper Smooches blog yesterday for my term as Guest Designer. I have SO LOVED using these fabulous new dies from Paper Smooches and I do so hope you have been inspired by my designs! I can't thank Kim enough for this wonderful opportunity!!!

Get Well

HA! He seriously cracks me up ever single time I use him! The expression on his face is just too fabulous! I love it! The walrus is from the Chilly Chums set and I pulled a couple of shapes from the Vogue Abode set to create the water bottle on his head and the thermometer. So fun!

Get Well (detail)

I die cut the sentiment with the new Get Well Phrase die from Simon Says Stamp woodgrain cardstock. I love the added texture!

I hope you are, indeed, not at all under the weather and I wish you a wonderful day, my friends!

Have a Happy!!!

Simon Says: Hipsters are Cool

Okay, I should actually say that I have no idea what Simon's opinions are on Hipsters. But seeing as Simon seems pretty hipster, himself, I think he'd go with cool. But not. Like... totally in the cool way. Just sayin'.

So. Yeeaaaah.... moving on. It's an ANYTHING GOES challenge week over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog this week and the Design Team is having TONS of fun playing with Mama Elephant and Avery Elle Stamps!

The Hipster Giraffe

Ummmm... I love this stamp set with all of my heart. Well...at least the parts that aren't being used up for my husband, family, dogs, ice cream, etc... you know. Just sayin'. Seriously, though. CUTEST.EVER!!!! And it just combines with those Memory Box cloud dies SO WELL! LOVE!!!

Hipster Giraffe (detail)

He's not REALLY a snob! He's totally misunderstood! Wait... nope. He's probably really a snob, but it's okay because it totally works for him. Just sayin'.

A Friend is Someone Who Understands

I have a a pretty card to share with you today using a gorgeous sentiment stamp from Crafter's Companion.  I used Sheena Douglas' Only Words:  Through the Rain set.  I just love this large, bold, and beautifully designed sentiments!

A Friend Is...

Because I wanted to really allow the sentiment to be the focal point, I chose to create a simple design for this card.  I masked a rectangle on my card panel and then inked with VersaMagic ink to achieve the ombre look.

A Friend Understands (detail)

A few black gems were the perfect little accent to add just a bit of something without it being too much with the ornate fonts.

I am linking this card up to the Ombre Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I just love Moxie Fab challenges! YAYA!

Now... on an entirely different note - I'm considering doing a product post later this week showing off a couple of things I've recently purchased and love and maybe a couple of wish-list type things. Would you be interested in this kind of post? Just curious.

I hope you have an absolutely brilliant Tuesday!

How About A Dash of Gourmet Color?

I think that sounds like a perfectly lovely way to begin a week, so let's go for it!  We have a brand new color challenge for you over at Gourmet Rubber Stamps and it is a pretty one!

Right? Right. Very pretty! I pulled out my Truffles Thinking of You set with this super pretty bunch of flowers for my card.

Thinking of You

I used a subtle pattern paper with black and white for the grey tone instead of a solid grey. I like how it reads as a grey due to the small pattern.

Thinking of You (detail)

This image looks so pretty embossed in green! It makes me happy! Be sure to head on over to the Gourmet Rubber Stamps blog to link up your own creation and to check out what the rest of the team has created!

Have a Happy, my friends!!!

How to Give a Stamper a Heart Attack

Yup. That'll do it. Tell 'em they can't use stamps on their card. WHAAAAT? Yup. That's this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge, folks, and I know you can do it! It's not that I ALWAYS use stamps... I just almost always use them. HA!

Funky Glasses Thank You

Ummm... yup. This card is totally fun, dudes. For reals. I'm not usually an animal print kinda girl, but I loved this fun one from Crate Paper and thought it would be super cute to combine it with that great glasses chipboard sticker! I added a fun sentiment sticker from SRM Stickers to finish it off. SUPER SIMPLE, but I think it turned out rather adorable, if I do say so myself. And I just did. So there. HA!

funky glasses thank you (detail)

This week, one lucky winner is going to win a fabulous prize pack from SRM Stickers! I know you will love it because they sent one to each DT member and it's AWESOMESAUCE! Just sayin'. So, your mission, if you choose to accept it: Create a fabulous CAS card with NO STAMPS! Then come on over and link it up! 'Cause you rock!

Have a SUPER HAPPY!!!! (It is, afterall, Friday.)

Paper Smooches HEXALONGS!

I have another super fun Paper Smooches card for you today using the new Hexalongs dies! Kim calls them Hexalongs...which is a pretty cute name, but I still simply cannot help calling them squished hexagons. It's just fun! HA!

Celebrate

Yup.  It totally looks like a soccer ball.  It didn't start out that way... it sorta just happened and I kind of love it.  I die cut the navy and the woodgrain white cardstock and pieced together to create the border.  I really loved the soccer ball-style design that resulted!  A bit of red and white twine completed the look nicely!

Celebrate (detail)

I added a sentiment from the Sentiment Sampler set in Hero Arts Mid-Tone Navy ink... my new favorite ind of all time.

Honestly... I like this card. Lots. It's simple, clean, and oh, so happy! AND...it has red twine on it. I do so love red twine. Just sayin'.

Have A Happy!!!

***This is my SECOND post of the day!  Be sure to scroll down or click here to check out the new stuff from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!***

It's SPRING! Or so the calendar says... the foot of snow that came down yesterday seems to be arguing with that point, but I'm going to focus on the spring thing, k? K. Let's go with that. PLUS...we are celebrating SPRING and EASTER over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog today, so even if it is a bit dreary, weather wise, these cards are sure to brighten your day!

The design team is using Memory Box goodness on our projects this week, so I pulled out some cute clouds and backed them with some vellum I colored with markers.

Hello Spring!

A fun paper straw piece, some enamel dots, and some super fab washi tape add lots of bright happy to this card! I do so love bright happy! Just sayin'.

One lucky participant will receive a $50 voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store! Woot! Woot!
